5:45AM, Patsy Ramsey reported she discovered the "ransom note" at the bottom of the staircase that leads from the 2d to 1st floor; after subsequent search, found JonBenét missing.

5:52AM, Officer Karl Veitch and Rick French responded to the Ramsey residence regarding a possible kidnapping.

Both Officer Veitch and Officer French reported no signs of forced entry in the home.

Mr and Mrs White, Mr and Mrs Fernie, and the pastor of St John's Episcopalian Church were called to the Ramsey residence by one of the Ramseys.

8:00AM, Detective Arndt arrived at the Ramsey residence.

8:00AM to 10:00AM, Detective Arndt monitored incoming calls to the Ramsey residence, per instructions from the phony ransom note that a call would be made during this time.

8:36AM, John Andrew Ramsey and Melinda Ramsey reportedly boarded a Delta flight to Minneapolis

John Ramsey told Seargent Whitson that all doors were locked when he went to bed and that all doors were still locked when they discovered JonBenét was missing.

10:30AM, JonBenét's bedroom was sealed off by Detectives Arndt and Patterson.

10:40AM - NOON, Detective Arndt loses track of John Ramsey

1:00PM, Detective Arndt asked John Ramsey, Fleet White, and John Fernie to check the interior of the home for any sign of JonBenét; John Ramsey immediately went to the basement followed by Mr White and Mr Fernie.

1:00PM, JonBenét's body was found by her father and brought upstairs and placed on the floor.

Detective Everett, after the body was found, walked thru the basement area to determine if any persons were present. In the area where the body was found, Detective Everett found two blankets in the center of the room.

Coroner arrives at the Ramsey home at approximately 8:00PM.

Official search of the Ramsey property commenced at approximately 8:20PM.

JonBenét's body was removed by Pat Dunn, of the Boulder County Coroner's office, and taken to Boulder Community Hospital.

A search warrant for an undisclosed Boulder property is signed by a judge.

Dr John Meyer performed the autopsy on JonBenét's body.

A second search warrant was applied for and executed.

Aaholm states the parents are in "no condition to be interviewed."

Authorities state that JonBenét's adult siblings have not been ruled out as suspects, even though reports exist they were out of state at the time of the murder.

Approximately 300 family and friends visit JonBenét at Mayes-Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta GA.

December 31, 1996

JonBenét's funeral was held at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta GA.

JonBenét was buried at St James Episcopal Cemetery in Marietta GA.

Yellow long-stemmed roses were placed on the coffin before it was lowered into the ground.

Reportedly, the Ramseys were to celebrate this date with a New Year's cruise for Patsy's 40th birthday.
